Weaving at last.

I have finally finished a piece, although it has not been cut off the frame yet.

PhiggThe background is green although this photo from my ipod doesn’t do the colour justice. The green bit is rayon and is very flat at the moment, I am not sure what it is going to do when cut off. This is the one which is two layers of tapestry one in front of the other and woven together. I do not think I will do another piece like this although I may use the technique again. It was very complicated and I am glad it is finished.

It is not a very good photo, one of those textile problems I think, I will have to get PJ to do I decent job of it.

I have almost finished two other pieces, they should be done by the end of the week so I will post photo’s soon. I am now going to try some more leather work just to see if I can get it up to an appropriate standard for the fundraiser.

Hello Margaret, I like that! Look forward to seeing it for real. Hope you are both well. I promise I will ring! Got fencing material coming tomorrow, that’s a job I hope I am going to be able to do. It seems straight forward but then hidden snags have a nasty habit of leaping from nowhere. I am having a lot of trouble finding something for your Birthday. Do you have any suggestions please? A tool or material or something? I had hoped to find inspiration but can’t seem to and I would rather give you something you could do with. Love A
